When A Student Is Absent

Parents should call the attendance office regarding an absence. If an extended absence is planned, parents should inform the attendance and all of the student’s teachers. Before the planned absence, students should obtain work from all teachers whenever possible.

Requesting Work

If a student has been absent from school for at least two consecutive days due to illness, please call the guidance office to request school work.  

Returning To School

Each student returning to school following an absence must provide attendance with a written note stating the student’s name, date of absence, and reason for absence, signed by the student’s parent/guardian. Telephone calls stating reasons for absence do not replace a written excuse.
