Dear Crete Community,

We are deeply saddened by the events that occurred on Friday, June 28. Our hearts go out to all those affected by this traumatic incident.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Crete Police Department, the Saline County Sheriff's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and all the first responders who acted quickly and bravely to ensure the safety of our community. Your dedication and service are truly commendable, and we want you to know your efforts are deeply appreciated.

Crete is an amazing place to live, and it is our unity and resilience that make our community so special. It is essential for us to stay together and support one another.

Crete Public Schools is ready to provide services and work with any student, staff, or community member needing support during this time. Our counselors and support staff will be available at the following locations and times:

Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 at the Cardinal Welcome Center

Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 at the Cardinal Welcome Center
