Crete Public Schools is excited to announce Josh Littrell's appointment as the next head football coach of the Crete Cardinals. Coach Littrell brings an impressive 24 years of coaching experience to the program and a proven track record of success at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Most recently, Coach Littrell was the head football coach at Warren High School in San Antonio, Texas, a 6A school known for its competitive athletic programs. Before that, he led the Waldorf University football program, transforming it into a nationally ranked team during his tenure. His passion for the game, deep expertise, and ability to connect with student-athletes have been hallmarks of his career, earning him respect both on and off the field.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Littrell to Crete High School,” said Matt Martin, Activities Director at Crete High School. “His extensive experience and ability to inspire student-athletes make him the perfect fit for our football program. We look forward to the impact he will have on our students and community.”
In addition to his role as head football coach, Coach Littrell will continue serving as the Director of Transportation for Crete Public Schools. His commitment to excellence and his strong leadership skills extend beyond the field, making him a valuable asset to the district in multiple capacities.
The Crete Cardinals community is eager to see the energy and vision Coach Littrell will bring to the program as we continue to build a tradition of excellence in athletics and academics.
